Let’s see what happens from this.
Occupy Oakland marched from Oscar Grant Plaza to UC Berkeley in solidarity with OccupyCal’s strike, converging on historic Sproul Plaza, the site of Free Speech Movement. The General Assembly voted to reoccupy the Plaza with tents. Later, Robert Reich addressed the raucous crowd in a modified Mario Savio commemoration.

At the same time, on the right, lower Sproul (where once I saw the fledgling Talking Heads): Cal football rally for the Big Game against Stanford.

My Mini Story: Gay 2nd Generation Cambodian American.
Cal student, yeah! BTW, in Asian/Asian-American cultures, “second generation” means you were born here but your parents came over. If you all don’t know much about the Viet Nam war or the Cambodian genocide, the movie The Killing Fields is about this time in history.
